The Rodger family has been farming at Knockraich (pronounced ‘knock-ray-th’) since 1947 when Robert Snr took over as farm manager for Ross’s Dairies. Robert Jnr continues today to milk a herd of 60 British Friesian cattle plus rearing young cattle.
We are now very pleased to be producing our ice cream, cheeses and yogurts in the new creamery at Knockraich using milk from our own dairy herd. Over the next few months we will be expanding the range of dairy produce available from the Courtyard Cafe and shop.
Roberts grandchildren are keen helpers on the farm and look after
our hens which supply the cafe with free range eggs.
